The DC Medical Examiner Examines the Case of the Woman Found Dead in a Car

The coroner for the District of Columbia has found that the body of a woman found in a car in the District on July 8, 2017, is the remains of an unidentified victim.

According to the Washington Post, the body was found in the car of a man whose identity was not released by the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department.

The woman was identified as 37-year-old Jia Zhang.

Police said Zhang was last seen by her husband on July 10.

A witness told police she had left the home in a blue minivan with a blue bag over her shoulder.

According the Washington Examiner, police said Zhang and her husband drove to a gas station on the 600 block of N. 14th St. on July 11.

Police said they drove to the gas station and waited for the gas to be turned on.

The gas station is on the southeast corner of 14th Street and N. Wacker Drive, just north of the U.S. Capitol.

Police have not said how long Zhang was at the gas stations.

Investigators said they have yet to release a cause of death for Zhang.

They did not say how she died.
