Coach Zico is back in the Italy squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against France and Ukraine and has been given a second chance by coach Massimiliano Allegri.
The Drogbasi are in Group D along with Ukraine and Poland and have to beat Italy and Germany in Group B to progress.
Allegri’s side have lost their last two matches and the result is a significant setback for Allegri, who had the side in contention for a place in the finals after winning the Europa League.
“We have an outstanding coach, Massimiliani Allegri,” Zico said after the first of the three pre-match talks with the media on Thursday.
“I am looking forward to working with him and his players.”
Zico, who won the European Championship with Inter Milan in 2010, also told the media that his side will be the favourites to win the tournament.
“I am convinced that we will win the World Cup,” Zamparini said.
Zamparino also said the squad will have a hard time with France and Ukrainians.””
We have a great squad, we have a strong squad and the only way we can win this tournament is if we play in our own way.”
Zamparino also said the squad will have a hard time with France and Ukrainians.
“It is difficult to play in the style of France, but it’s also a difficult game for Ukraine,” Zoltan said.
“Ukraine will be our most difficult opponent, we will have to defend our own territory and they will have an excellent attacking midfielder in Alexei Emelin.”
They will be a very good team.
“The Ukrainian players will also be a challenge for us.”
The Bianconeri coach also said that the club’s goal will be to win both games against the French and Ukraine.
“Our main goal is to win,” Zino said.
